Abia state news.
I am still taking in the plight of the poor young man,a father and a husband who was an aide to the Governor of Abia State's son.He was supposedly killed by a stray bullet. Now thats one thing i cannot understand.Who gives these goats guns anyway?
They were supposedly firing guns in the air to disperse the crowd, what crowd? In what civilised state in this day and age does policemen fire guns in the air?Are they piegon hunting? And the amazing thing is the Governor himself was present at this do.So what does that sspeak of him if the police think its okay to fire guns in the air for his benefit? Now the deceased the last time i looked at him did not look anything like 9 feet tall..so how could bullets fired in the air have hit him in the chest?
I tire for that country of mine...hard working citizens trying to make the best of their lives ,yet a crazy minority are determined to mess things up! Until we employ educated people in the police force and not illiterates who can't string a sentence together we will continue having these problems and unlawfulness. And guess what? It would not change anytime soon because the government don't wanna pay a decent wage to the police so it suits them to pay peanuts to uneducated fools raher than some educated and intelligent people in the force.
Anyway back to the case of the poor young man who has lost his life and left a poor boy and wife behind.
The victim, identified as John Ndubuka, who was an aide to Chinedu Orji, the governor’s son, was hit by the bullet, suspected to have been fired by the police, as he was about leaving the venue of a reception organised to honour Governor Orji by the Ikwuano-Umuahia people yesterday.
The police had fired two shots into the air to disperse the crowd at the entrance to the venue of the reception, when according to an eye-witness, the deceased, who was part of the crowd at the site of the old
Umuahia main market where the event took place, suddenly slumped and started bleeding.
‘’When he slumped, nobody knew what happened to him, until we saw blood gushing out from his chest,’’ the eyewitness said on the condition of anonymity to PMNews.
The deceased was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia, where he unfortunately died. The police in Abia State say they have already arrested three policemen in connection with the killing.
