The convict told the court he boarded the complainants taxi in 2013 and they exchanged phone numbers.
“When I got back from my trip I gave him a call and told him I can make him rich and asked him to come to my house which he did.
“ I asked him to deposit the sum of N30, 000 which I will use to buy items for the sacrifice, he went back home and brought the money.
“I performed some sacrifice on him and gave him some meat to eat which he did, and told him to come back for the money I made for him the next day.
“Days later he brought the police to arrest me when I didn’t provide the money I promised him.
