Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has advised Nigerians to always obey God’s commandments.
Adeboye gave the advice during a special programme entitled, “Escape for Your life,’’ organised by the Obafemi Awolowo University Campus Christian Mobilisation Committee
on Thursday night in Ile-Ife, Osun
He said many academics were still living in sin, adding that this had made them to continue to experience spiritual blindness in spite of their qualifications.
Adeboye urged Nigerians to refrain from all acts of immorality, saying God’s wrath would be visited on the disobedient.
According to the renowned cleric, the only way to escape from the wrath of God’s judgment that would come is to accept Jesus Christ as Saviour.
Adeboye also advised the congregation to totally submit their lives to God, saying this would enable them to escape from the bondage of Satan. (NAN)
Here are some reactions which followed amongst them some youths bashing Adeboye,on the advice issued by the Redeemed Church General Overseer
WIll Mr Adeboye be prepared to sell his jets and feed the teaming poor in Nigeria? Will he be prepared to sell the jets and use his money to create employment opportunities for the unemployed university graduates in Nigeria? That will be one way to obey God's commandments. Can Mr Adeboye be a role model and start obeying Jesus injunction on riches and on providing for the poor and taking care of the basic needs of people in order to save their souls???
When will G.O start preaching to all his political spiritual children like Akingbola or speak out against injustice and state of anomies that was the foundation of the country.
Intead,he continue to deflect people attention from the source of their problem by always coming up with obedient and righteous as if people were not obeying or making effort in right living enough to attract God's favor.
God is not in any way involved in the condition in Nigeria as every thing is in the realms of human action.
Let this Dutch reformed church attitude seize!
If u read the bible very well, you will realize that not all the prohets of God criticize leaders, some only admonished them
@Ola- but most of them always took the message from God to them (Leaders & Kings) and if they refused they saw the anger of God immediately. How many times have we seen him go to this people delivering the message, but he only goes there to collect brown envelop and busy telling the poor one's to keep obeying, he must be out of his mind.
Leave that selective bibilical interpretation that is tailored to shy away from taking responsibility that can further divine intentions in the affairs of humanity. It is rampant in Africa.
But not every prophet collected thites without using the money to store food in the store house!
