A Football Fan in Kenya has killed himself because the team he supported Manchester United lost at home to Newcastle United.The supporter 28yr old John Macharia jumped to death from
the 7th Floor of Pipeline Estate ,Nairobi's County Police Commander Benson Kibui comfirmed.As recently as 2009 another Kenyan Suleiman Omondi who was 29 years old, took his own life by hanging himself because his Team Arsenal had been defeated in a Champions league Semi Final by Manchester United.
Its a worrying trend that Africans who are thousands of Miles away take their own life or in some cases take other people's live's over Teams who are so far away from them while they show no passion or remote sadness when their own National Team's suffer a defeat.
The Local game in Africa is virtually dead except maybe in South Africa and Egypt who still have a thriving Local League while supporters lose their minds and in some cases their lives over foreign Teams.
