Murtala Muhammed international airport.
The Airport is one of the sole entrances into a country. If you breach airport security, the country is open to any
security attack. I wonder what it will take for the FAAN(The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria) in Nigeria to note the importance of security and the nature it entails to remunerate the staff or agent of any faction of workers in the country’s airport?
Milinda Francis & Co the sub-contractor to the FAA pays it cleaners N5000p/m which is about £20. This does not only breach the government minimum wage stipulation, but also is an insensitive attitude towards unskilled workers. The backdrop of such inhuman act is that, it will facilitate breaching of security protocols by disgruntled cleaner i.e. Obtaining bribe for access to unauthorized personnel into restricted areas. We please implore the Airport Authority to look into this as this is a matter of urgency.
