Although police authorities kept mum over the content of the report, Vanguard was reliably informed that it attributed late Ronke Shonde’s death to some injuries in the head. It also
revealed that water clustered in her head. Again, the report which was reportedly signed by one Dr. Shoyemi, a Pathologist at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, Ikeja, disclosed that late Ronke Shonde died as a result of respiratory seizure. But it ruled out the possibility of her death due to violent marks on her face. The autopsy was conducted last Thursday, with its result expected to be out in three days. But Vanguard was informed that it was delayed due to the absence of the Chief Pathologist, who reportedly travelled out of the country.
Family of Ronke Bewaji talk about her death and appealing for justice to take its course. |
I really do not understand how this might be classified as inconclusive,it is pretty much obvious what happened here and it was exactly what i had personally thought all along.I don't think the husband Lekan wanted to intentionally kill his wife Ronke, they got into an argument and were at the top of the stairs,he must have either pushed her mistakenly or when she was hit,she fell backwards and down the stairs banging her head as a result. The injuries to her face does not have to contribute to her death, she got that as a result of the fight,if a man is killed in a fight by a blow to the head,do you now go to the injury he sustained on his neck and waste time on that? Whne the autopsy report has already stated that there were injuries to the head?
But i patiently wait for the official release of Ronke Bewaji Shonde's autopsy result.May she Rest in Peace.
