The HEADIES 2015 nomination List is finally out!
Looks like this period is the one of lists,Nigerians have been eagerly awaiting the Ministerial list of President Muhammadu Buhari.But thankfully while the list is pending,here is one list that is finally out.The categories for this year is vast and we have as usual the usual suspects in the Headies 2015 awards.
Now lets take a look at some of the favourites and some of the surprise packages.
Best recording of the year is the big one and frankly i am very disappointed in the songs that have been nominated.What the jury has done here is try to be credible by going for obscure songs and artists that have respectability.I'm afraid that stinks and the jury of The Headies
award 2015 should hang their heads in embarrassment!

The best recording of the year in any country should be a song that anybody on the streets can sing,it should not be a song that we are all struggling to guess what song is playing,and
frankly nominating Asa who i love with her song Eyo is very poor,others are Tim Dakolo with Wish me Well,Bez with There's a fire and Cobhams do the right thing,the only song that deserves this list in my opinion is Ojuelegba by Wizkid and i hope he wins it.
This is a pretty embarrassing list.It is self indulgence by the jury of The Headies award 2015 in my opinion.

The jury managed to redeem their selves with the nominations in the Producer of the year field,its a very tough field but i think it will be between Don Jazzy for Godwin and Legendury Beatz for Ojuelegba.I favour Don Jazzy ...just,its a very tight one.

Damn this is another tough one,Ojuelegba,Woju,Godwin,Bobo..Oh my gosh this is a killer group! This is the The Headies award group of death! lol Any of those 4 i mentioned could easily win it.Any of the losers will be pained because they are all strong popular anthems not just in Nigeria but internationally.I think the jury of the Headies might just give this to Woju by Kiss Daniel.

Wow the next rated award is one of the most popular awards in the HEADIES award.The winner always goes home with a brand new car and over the years it has seen acts like Sean Tizzle,Davido,Wizkid win this award.This year is probably one of the toughest i have ever seen.Kiss Daniel,Korede Bello and Lil Kesh,those 3 deserve this Headies award for Next rated.But who is gonna take the headies home?

I think every place where Asa was nominated should have been taken by Asa really.Asa has stayed away from the country and its pretty obvious that all the songs were not tailored for Naija ,so why not give those who are home the opportunity to shine ?EYO is the only song Asa has done for the Nigerian market in ages.Di'Ja should have been more represented.She is an immense talent.

So there you have it guys,my review for the Headies Awards 2015,in case you didn't find some of your favourite songs or artistes in the nominees,its probably because of the time the songs were released. A song has to be released at a certain time of the last 12 months to qualify for the headies nomination.The headies 2015 date is Wednesday 30th December at the Landmark Events Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
